While working on a short story, I've just finished reading a shoujo manga, which i rarely read. Summer time is perfect for horror story, but why did i read a romance instead of a spooky one? It's because I'm short of ideas. A big part of my brain right now is full of murder, murder, and murder. Watching a lot of crime series made me like a zombie, seriously. That's why i need a fresh love story to keep me alive.
Actually there were 3 choices of manga that i madly wanted to recommend here, they are Kimi ni Todoke, Ao Haru Ride, and Heroine Shikkaku. But after knowing that Heroine Shikkaku is going to release the live action movie, i chose it.
So, let's straight to the review (not really). Here is the cover of the manga:
And this is the synopsis of Heroine Shikkaku based on MangaFox, the almighty websites for a manga lover like me:
"This could be any girl. Imagine being a heroine of a love story. Hatori
also believed that one day she would get married to her childhood
friend, Rita.
But that's not how the world works! This is a hilarious comedy that honestly paints a painful unrequited love story of this young girl!"

This manga contained only 10 volumes, that's why i really enjoyed reading it. Shortly, this is a worthy manga for every girl that craves a light romanticism. Hatori is like any common girl in real world, and Rita is not as perfect as it should be in manga. In my country, Rita is a girl name and i'm still not used to it. I should say that the plot of every chapter is unusual, not too mainstream, and hard to guess. BUT (i'm adding an exception here), the ending is really weird. I thought the author is not properly preparing the ending really well and sooo mainstream.
Oh, yes, my post about the third man is refer to this manga, Hiromitsu-kun. Ugh, i really loved him than Rita, and maybe that's why i'm not satisfied with the ending. The author showed how much he/she loved Hiromitsu character than the actual lead, it is shown from the appearance between Hiromitsu and Rita. It's really perfect when Hatori dated Hiromitsu, how much they loved each other, how Hiromitsu was drawn as a good boyfriend and such a match to Hatori. Suddenly, the author reminded us who the actual lead is, and it's really...
How could i say it?
Big no no. Rita is no better than Hiromitsu, IN EVERY WAY.
Okay. Stop with the unsatisfying thing. I'm really bad at recommending, right?
The amusing part of this manga is how the author created Hatori as hillarious as a girl could. Not a dumb one, but totally funny. She is also drawn in a funny face whenever she did a comical thing. And the other point is, anyone would easily agreed with her. It is like her mind is similar to us, and you will nod to her way of thinking. And i'm satisfied with the drawing. Sooo... hillarious.
I will give this manga 4.3 out of 5. The remained 0.7 points is for the unsatisfying ending, and besides that, it's perfect!
One more. I had told how much i side on Hiromitsu-kun, right? I just watched the trailer of the movie and disappointed on how they choose that cutesy actor rather than a cool and lively look. I didn't give a high hope for the movie after seeing a lot of live action movies (Attack on Titan is the worst of all), but i will watch it after all.
So... Before the movie is released, why don't you try reading it? You've been thinking of being a heroine for your own love life, right? Has it already came true? If not, maybe you should see this story that may be related with your own problem^^
GBye!!!
