KinnPorsche The Series, The Highest Bar of Thai BL Series Ever

Hi!

Even though I'd like to have a BL milestone throughout the year, I feel this one deserves a post alone. If you're fujoshi or a BL fan, this series is a must-watch.

Honestly, I followed this since the cast introduction but I didn't really pay attention since I didn't want to get my hope up. You know, some of Thai BLs could end up bad so I used to lower my expectation. BUT THIS, you could even put it as high as you could since to the very end, it's legit. The first trailer (the pre production version) was even quite different than the final cut, but again, it's way better. There were many up and down for the series to be finally released, but it's all worth it now.

This is a masterpiece.

Of all Thai BLs that I've watched, I couldn't remember which series that could be in par in terms of quality. Let's say about cinematography, plot, acting, and even music. Oh my God, I just loved the series very much and I'd like to express a highest appreciation for the whole team.

Anyway, even though this was posted as "recommendation" and I do recommend you all to watch this series immediately, I wanted to warn you on some spoilers on this post since I personally post this as a journal of my journey with the series too. So, be prepared!

Now let's take a look at the poster.

What a nice view, right? So... Here I present you....

Kinn Porsche The Series: La Forte!

It's 21+ rated and you can watch the uncut version on iQiyi. Broadcasted every Sunday 12.00 AM and I followed each episode since the first release so far and it's been a hell of a roller coaster ride. I lived in agony for 3 months already but still, I loved it very much. It's a mafia themed story and it's about a relationship between the head of mafia, Kinn Anakinn Theerapanyakul who was the 2nd son of the Major Mafia Family and his newly bodyguard, Porsche Pachara Kittisawad. The series was based on a novel with the same title. Every week whenever the episode was released, it became the hottest topic on Twitter. There's no way for a BL enthusiast to skip this moment, really.

I noticed the fandom was growing over time. Since it's released later during the release of Cutie Pie series, they were being compared. But hey, I also anticipated Cutie Pie series since the first trailer, but after the pilot episode I dropped it right away. It turned out to be a kind of BL series I tend to avoid, with unnecessary fluff and cheesy scenes everywhere, i.e how they faced each other too close like they were about to kiss but it's just them talking to each other. There were also messy plot and poor acting problem that would make you irritated. I sometimes wondered, did they think we as fujoshis would just accept anything and get hype about it as long as a guy was with another guy? Well, maybe yes if they're hot or good looking enough but there's a matter of preference too. So why don't you just put a little more effort to cast a skilled actor, create a decent plot and hire a competent director?

And now I finally have the easiest way to suggest. Why don't you just look at what they do in KinnPorsche?

When I watched the pilot episode of KinnPorsche, I was quite surprised. Here's why.

On the pilot episode, they built the plot quite fast and it's good enough to make it a first base. They portrayed the mafia background in an elegant way and introduced the conflict right away. There was even a fight scene between Kinn and Porsche in a cruise ship and it's fascinating! I loved how they really put a great effort on the setting and every detail in the shot. I must be exaggerating to crown them as a first class quality, but I never saw anything like this on BL genre especially for Thailand series.

[Recommendation] Your Name Engraved Herein, Painfully Beautiful Love Story That is Worth to Rewatch Countless Time!

I had a high expectation of this movie, but all of my expectation was clearly devoured by the movie itself.

It's such a gem and yet another pain in the ass. I barely moved on from finishing the story and all I hope is another worthy movie to be expected, but I don't have a list at all up until now.

Anyway, let me introduce you to the movie itself, and warning, it would definitely contain spoilers!

It's "Your Name Engraved Herein". Whose name? Of course it's Birdy and Jia Han. Yes, t's indeed another BL movie! And I'd be delighted to tell you many times that this movie was a top tier.

Shall we take a look of the synopsi, cited from Mydramalist, first?

In 1987 when the martial law period ended, two Christian high-school students, Jia Han and Birdy, met at the school band led by a Canadian priest. One day, they were granted a day off to Taipei for the late president’s funeral. The two took a chance to explore the city and theaters, finding themselves inspired by brotherly love and freedom.

Days after, Jia Han’s affection for Birdy has been awakened, but a much-confused Birdy pushed him away by pretending to fall in love with a girl. The misunderstanding separated them ever since until three decades later, when the two men met again in a foreign city.

Well,

I loved every part of it.

[Recommendation] Hottest Anime of The Year! "My Next Life as a Vilainess: All Routes Lead to Doom"

Hi.

It's me again.

Since we are all staying at home and nothing to do to amuse myself, I decided to be active in blogging. Well, to say that I have "nothing-to-do" may be wrong, because I have a lot of work and deadlines, but hey, WORK LIFE BALANCE, please! So I tried to get away from my work related as best I can do during weekends.

This time, unusually, I wanted to recommend an anime that I recently watched. I am writing this recommendation while waiting for the new episode coming up. So, I don't want to miss the moment to happily review it to you all.

My Next Life as a Vilainess: All Routes Lead to Doom or in japanese is Otome Game no Hametsu Furagu Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei Shitteshimatta, but please call it simply as Hamefura, is an ongoing anime that I watched the trailer on Animax first then got captivated easily after. It is an isekai anime with hillarious scene and adding a reverse harem! Hell yeah! Why should I miss this gem?

Quoted from myanimelist website, the synopsis is as below,

Most people would prefer being the protagonist of a world full of adventure, be it in a game or in another world. But, unfortunately, a certain girl is not so lucky. Regaining the memories of her past life, she realizes that she was reborn in the world of Fortune Lover—one of the games she used to play.

Unfortunately, the character she was reincarnated into—Katarina Claes—is the game's main antagonist, who faces utter doom in every ending. Using her extensive knowledge of the game, she takes it upon herself to escape from the chains of this accursed destiny.

However, this will not be an easy feat, especially since she needs to be cautious as to not set off death flags that may speed up the impending doom she is trying to avoid. Even so, to make a change that will affect the lives of everyone around her, she strives—not as the heroine—but as the villainess.

Now let's take a look at the promotional poster!

I was actually surprised to myself, thinking that I might be away from a romance story (other than BL) for quite a long time, but realized that I got hooked on this anime even from its 1st episode! My number one Isekai favorite is Scum Villain's Self Saving System (Hell yeah BingQiu!) and I am indeed interested to this kind of genre. But still, you will notice the repetitive plot from some Isekai story then get tired of it. So, what you need to look for an Isekai story is the lovable characters and how the plot is developed.

Hamefura is a complete package for me. As a girl, it must be very lovely to watch a reverse harem, where all ikemens are in love with the main cast. Although, reverse harem can be super boring, like Diabolik Lovers, but please don't talk about it, let's put that only as a bad example. I was not really a fan of it and already took down on the first episode.

So what went wrong in Diabolik Lovers is the female lead and how all ikemens are surrounding her without any effort. Nope, not my ideal.

But Catarina Claes, the female heroine of Hamefura is very lovable. She is active, persistent, and super dense. Since she was the antagonist of the game and in order to survive, she would do anything to prevent herself to the doom. So she approached other main characters in her own way, and also catched their hearts without her knowing. But the adding points of Hamefura is when the female characters are also hooked on the main cast. She really created her own harem!

Now let's review each point!

[Recommendation] Heaven Official's Blessing: When Love is Invented and Described as Their Own (And I Don't Have Objection At All)

Welcome to my life.

This time I will happily and willingly recommend you a title that changed my life, entirely. So, I confided what happened to myself in the past year. Well, not my whole life but a major part of my life. Right, being a Fujoshi. And nowadays, being one of them is absolutely my middle name. I am immersed too deeply in this world.

And this title is actually the most and recently finished book that I read. This is actually a popular title, considering that now there will be adapted donghua (animation) and ongoing manhua of it. The fandom is also very huge. Trust me, even if you are finished reading the book already, the fandom will shower you many things to satisfy your thirst.

Long story short, this is another Mo Xiang Tong Xiu novel, the author of the renowned Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation novel (or Mo Dao Zu Shi), which "The Untamed" Chinese Drama is adapted from. I fell in love with the drama first actually then decided to read the book instead. Hell yeah, the book was an eye opener to me, that lead me to discover the fandom of both novel and the drama. From that, I got to know there are other novels by MXTX author, then I decided to read them also.

Even before I decided to read it, I had a hunch that I would love it so much, and I was right. I fell in love way too deeply with this title, even comparing to previous one (MDZS) that introduced me to this kind of world.

So, let's start talking about this one.

The title is Heaven Official's Blessing, (Tiān Guān Cì Fú). I will start to shorten it as TGCF instead, okay?

Cited from NovelUpdates (this is my recent visited websites), here is the summary:

Eight hundred years ago, Xie Lian was the Crown Prince of the Xian Le kingdom. He was loved by his citizens and was considered the darling of the world. He ascended to the Heavens at a young age; however, due to unfortunate circumstances, was quickly banished back to the mortal realm. Years later, he ascends again–only to be banished again a few minutes after his ascension.

Now, eight hundred years later, Xie Lian ascends to the Heavens for the third time as the laughing stock among all three realms. On his first task as a god thrice ascended, he meets a mysterious demon who rules the ghosts and terrifies the Heavens, yet, unbeknownst to Xie Lian, this demon king has been paying attention to him for a very, very long time.

Honestly, I reread the summary for countless time and didn't understand a thing at first. Since I was new to this Wuxia-Xianxia novels before and totally blank for this kind of fiction, I was never interested when reading the summary. The same goes for MDZS. But luckily I still decided to try reading it first, or else, I might regret in my whole life to skip such a greatest story of all time.

And so for a new-starter, there are some basic thing that maybe you have to know before entering this kind of world,

1. Please familiarize yourself to Cultivation world first.

As a non-Chinese or someone that have no knowledge about cultivation world, it will confuse you about the basic term or the plot line. I am also not a master of this and still trying to understand the whole situation.

I am thankful enough to start learning it from watching The Untamed and MDZS donghua so I could portray and illustrate in my mind when reading the novel after. Well, how can I imagine when it tells that they are riding their sword... Like how can that happen? My past self could not even imagine how ridiculous it was (before).

But MDZS is a Wuxia novel, and TGCF is a Xianxia novel. Please... Please look for the differences by yourself. In my honest opinion, I am doing a nice approach, to start with Wuxia (martial art) then proceed to Xianxia (more about immortality, like the next step of Wuxia).

TGCF is telling about the 3 realms, Heavenly Realm, Human Realm, and Demon Realm. Please put your understanding of this kind of fiction. Even after understanding the Wuxia world, I was still struggling while being amazed with this Xianxia world. So my understanding is, there are two kind of person, a normal person (like all of us) and cultivator person, who studies cultivation in order to gain immortality. And then if you are worthy enough after gaining immortality, you will be likely to ascend as Heavenly God. Then, if a person died horribly with deep hatred, he/she can become a ghost/demon. What a whole new world (at least to me).

2. There will be many new terms that you may need to take notes.

I told you, like Dianxia, Shidi, Shixiong, Shijie, Shizun, and so on. But usually the translator will put the meaning first before use it as its original word later. But then, once you are familiar with the term, you can't help but saying those words as if it is your own language.

3. The list of characters are lining up, memorize it precisely.

This is also the great pain in the ass. The name of persons will be too many for you to memorize, for start. Usually I saved the list of characters (like a cheat sheet) and took a peek before I memorized them all. Moreover, a person can bear at least two names, the birth name and the courtesy name. To make it more complicated, even TGCF added one more name, the name of their palace (if they are Heavenly Gods, they have each palace/temple) and usually called by them. So at least three for each.

(Maybe that explained why I don't remember anything at all these days other than TGCF?)

Wow so many words already and I don't even start to review it? Okay, I will start then.

But let me put my favorite scene part from the donghua trailer first here,
(I like the horryfing atmosphere around but the main couple just appeared in the middle of it, calmly walked and closely together, like hell they care but each other)

Recently Watched: SANAM TERI KASAM

Hello, it's been a while to review something here. Last week, I decided to watch a Bollywood movie again after a while. It's kinda hard to me to choose the one because actually I'm not really a fan of every hindi movies. It must be acording to the cast, plot, and the color palettes. Please note that I am using "and" which means those 3 must be inclusive.

First, the cast. Oh yes, my movie list must include a good-looking heroine. C'mon, I am going to watch more than 2 hours movie so if there is no a worthy actor to be enjoyed, then it's a no-no. Second, the plot. I am certainly a picky movie-eater that enjoyed trashy plot, tear-jerker, outrageously silly and only watch a serious-noir movie in mood. Shortly, I like mainstream-typical hindi movies. And last is the color palette. It means the color of the film in overall. I like to see a grand setting with pretty color which spent a big amount of budget. We're talking about India, a city that is known dirtier than my country (according to many sources, please don't bash me) so looking the real Indian life would be a pain for my eyes. This is shown how subjective I am as a person, yes?

So I am searching for a worthy one that is fit to my liking. After many searches, I decided to watch this movie:

The movie title is "Sanam Teri Kasam", played by 2 main casts, Harsh Rane and Mawra Hocane. Those two may haven't been renowned stars, considering their names were not even put in the movie poster. And for me, their faces were also not familiar. The only thing that make me wanted to watch is only because of the reviews. It has a positive reviews from the public, and otherwise from the critics. It means, the story maybe such a typical love story that won't satisfy the critics. And finally, I decided to spend almost 2 and half hours watching this movie.

Oh, yes the plot. This is a very typical love story like anything else, to be honest. You know, a man and a woman, a meeting, love happened, and then ended with a happy one, or a tragic one. Seeing the poster only, you will think this has a tragic ending, right? There is no surprise with the plot, seriously. But somehow I was interested and very ready to shed tears. But yeah, I'll tell you the synopsis. STK is about the meeting of a man who wanted to love no one (which is lack of explanation in the story), named Inder, an ex-prisoner-murderer with a woman whom no one loved named Saraswati or Saru. Saru has always been rejected by several man and also had a very stiff father who only wanted an IIT, IIM, bla bla, which I don't really understand but shortly, a successful bachelor from respected background. One day, she asked Inder for helping her and ended up he helped her for almost everything. If I tell more, then maybe it will be a spoiler.

I am very satisfied for the setting choice. There were such a beautiful library (because Saru is a librarian), a very pretty interior design of a cheap place, even the traditional market is very colorful. Talking about the color palette, I started to remember Bajirao Mastani that also has a very good color palette (as a Sanjay Leela Bhansali's work obviously) and maybe I will review that later.

Oh yes, I realized that there is really no fun if we talked about something without photos, so now let's see the color palette, shall we?

[Recommendation] HWANG MI-RI's COLLECTION

This time, i will give you multiple manhwa recommendations from one author, Hwang Mi-Ri. I really liked her works since I started liking comic book. I remember digging the old bookstore only for searching her manhwas. Alright, I won't talk much and let's get started!

The typical story of Hwang Mi-Ri's that you will find in her every works are:
- Involving the life of beautiful people
- A bad boy with bad reputation (head of a gang or mastered in fighting)
- Rude and rebellious girl (sometimes poor or overly rich)
- Being ugly is a sin and make your life harder

I must say, the manhwa is soooo oldie so if you had missed it, believe me there's still time to make it up. I am personally into those kind of story, and Hwang Mi-Ri always successfully putting marvelous scene and make it so comical. Plus, I enjoyed her artworks too!

[1] Hot Blooded Woman

The story is about a tomboy girl (Kang HaJi) who switched her body with a rich, pretty, but sickly girl (Han Aram). This manhwa was the first to make me falling in love with the author. It's full of comedy and somehow I didn't really remember cheesy moments from the romance. I had to say that this is like a pure comedy manhwa in romance setting. Can you imagine how funny it would be when a girl with good fighting skill must survived the bullying that Aram faced? Seriously, HaJi was also too late to find out that Aram's life was bullied at school, and it was already funny to me. Plus, with Aram's pretty face, HaJi had no idea if some boys were attracted to her and thought it was an insult to her. In conclusion, this manhwa is a must read, seriously!

[2] New Sexy Simpleton
Oh my this is really hillarious! The story is about a beautiful model who went time-travel to an ancient era that fat and chubby woman was considered the true beauty than skinny woman. EunBi who had a perfect body for this era was struggling when she was taken as an ugly woman. With her awkward, rude, and hot-blooded personality, she was simply putting joke to every scene. This is also a must read for every romcom seeker!

[3] Crazy Girl Shin Bia

Aw, man, I should start making a journal for every comic that I've read. It is really hard to remember the story because it somehow stirred up with New Sexy Simpleton. The concept is the same, Shin Bia was gone time-travel to her ancestor era, that she appeared to be an elegant princess, that is the exact opposite of her personalities. All that I remembered is in this story, there were so many choices of man, and there was this one bad boy who will make your heart fluttered! Ah, that black haired guy with deep and scary stares! I knew it! Typically my crush! You have to read this and be in love with my guy!

Actually I wanted to give others such as Look for an Oppa, Miunohri to Swan, Advent of Snow White of the Hell, He Dedicated To Rose, The Moment When A Fox Becomes A Wolf, and also Idol Shopping, but I will give you the top 3 in my list for starters. After you completed all, you will become addicted and digging the title one by one on your own.

Well, welcome to the author's world!

[Recommendation] Boku wa Mari no Naka, A Great Psychological Manga

Well, frankly, maybe recommending this manga would spoil a little bit of myself. The genre of this manga is kinda mature, so I only recommend it for the proper age. But it doesn't really mean that... come on... I'm not really... well... never mind. I can assure you that this one wouldn't contain too much mature content. I could say that this manga is full of psychological side and mystery, so it will make you curious till the end.

Now I'm thinking for keeping it posted or not (hahaha). You can judge all you want, but seriously, this is the real deal. The manga itself hasn't completed yet. But it's already there around 60 chapters, so reading it now won't really hurt.

The story is about Komori, a loser guy who lived without any future. He met a high school girl and started to stalk her. But one day, he woke up as the girl, Mari. And that's how the body swapping begun. The most confusing part was when the real Komori was also living like the usual, by all means there were 2 conscious Komori. He then tried to find out what was happening to the real Mari inside the body and himself also.

The interesting part is about the concept of gender-bender/body swap. Usually the body swapping is about 2 soul that swapped to the opposite body. But instead, the boy's soul is passed to the girl's body when the girl's soul is still inside. In my opinion, it may be a case of MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), but maybe it is not.

It still remains a mystery for what really happen to Komori. And although the plot is a little bit slow to reveal the cause one by one, the story is flowing smoothly, I think. There is also a confusing part when the best friend of Mari is involved. The mature scene only came out in less than 5 times and not really the main theme so they're still accepted. Anyway, please try reading it first. It's quite nice to kill the time.

Have a good day everyone!

[Recommendation] Webtoon: Lookism

Okay, so these days I'm really into manhwa. What I mean is, I'm not in the mood for japanese manga, and prefer to webtoon, that is the cleaner version of manhwa. It's mainly because the dialogue and storyline of webtoon is delivered neatly. Unlike a book, webtoon is enjoyed by scrolling, just like reading a screenshot of a movie.

There are so many good webtoons that I liked. Can I have a list for it? Alright, let's see:

1. Noblesse (My first love of webtoon)
2. Pinocchio (I totally recommend this one but it's been a long time to me so I'm kinda forgetting the story
3. Tales of the Unusual (A collection of horror stories, not really thrilling but amusing)
4. Vault of Horror (horror stories collection too)
5. He is a High School Girl (It's still ongoing and really funny)
6. 7. 8. So on and on and on...

Actually I forgot the other names and those 5 are the top-list that I keep seeing.

But this post is focused only for one webtoon! The one that makes my heart 'dugeun-dugeun' and waiting like hell.

LOOKISM.

Speaking of the author, I didn't realize at first that the name "Park Tae Jun" is the same person of ulzzang "Park Tae Jun". OMG seriously I knew him since around 2010 when he joined Ulzzang Generation Season 2 and that time I constantly visited his shopping mall, Aboki (only for looking his photoshoot). And this man is really one of a kind. How can a cute, good looking, and business man like him could draw a webtoon? Life is so unfair. And he also could sing, actually. Life is double unfair because of him.

Can we move right to the story? Here is the overview of Lookism:

Speaking of the story itself, Lookism is about an ugly high-schooler that got bullied by his friends and also got discrimination only because of his look. Then, he moved to another school and suddenly had another bodies and could swap it to one another. His other body is a strong and super good looking, so he got into a new school with that body. His new school is no different with his previous, the bullying was happening too.   But with his new body, he's living a new life. He got friends, girls were surrounding him, and he also tried to defend the bullied. Later, he was on his way to change himself by his experience in that new body.

There are so many plus points for this webtoon actually. First of all, the hot good looking character. How could I say this... They are handsome, strong and young, so why should I miss it? Then, they really know how to fight. It seems like school is for fight only, I think. But the people around Hyungsuk, the lead character, are really good people. I don't know, somehow it's really amusing and worth reading.

Second, the plot is really comical and heart-warming. I remembered laughing and sobbing while reading it. It has a perfect balance for everything, seriously.

Then, this is a really mega plus point for this webtoon. I got shocked when I found out about it. Park Tae Jun, you... Ah...

The character for this webtoon is based on a real people in the real world. That Park Hyung Suk as the lead is potrayed according to the model of Aboki with the same name. He is an ulzzang. For you who don't know the meaning of ulzzang, it's for good looking boys and girls in internet, shortly, they are like a internet celeb who get recognition by their looks.

When you're already fallen love with the character and then you found out there's someone out there with a figure just like what you dreamed...  You know how it feels, right?

Not only the lead character, I thought every character in the story is based on real people. The setting itself is also following the trend. It's like enjoying real people's story in real world, seriously. Yeah, like reading someone's diary. For example, the author put the real idols like BTS in conversation and girlgroup 2EYES performing PIPPI song.

And one more thing. Did you see the ads for Line Webtoon on Youtube or TV? Yes, it shows the live action version of Lookism. In case you didn't realize it, here is a screenshot of it:

It would be great if those popular webtoon, such as Noblesse and also Lookism to have a live action, in anime version or maybe a drama. Anyway, seeing Lookism was chosen as one of the Line Webtoon's ads, it means this webtoon already gained a big popularity.

Actually, I didn't follow the chapters via the app, because in my country version, it goes really slow while the original already passed more than 50 chapters. I choose to rely on online manga sites that releases faster.

At the end, I really reccommend this one. It's perfect for girls or boys, with a full package of everything and totally interesting. I simply lack of words to explain it, though.

It's 5 of 5 stars for everything with a freshly big heart from me.

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T EVER MISS IT, OKAY?

Have a good day, everyone.

[Recommendation] Heroine Shikkaku, When You're No Longer a Heroine of Your Love Life

Hello, it's already summer and a non-stop, dry weather here. I'm wandering what should be the best choice of manga that i should recommend this time.

While working on a short story, I've just finished reading a shoujo manga, which i rarely read. Summer time is perfect for horror story, but why did i read a romance instead of a spooky one? It's because I'm short of ideas. A big part of my brain right now is full of murder, murder, and murder. Watching a lot of crime series made me like a zombie, seriously. That's why i need a fresh love story to keep me alive.

Actually there were 3 choices of manga that i madly wanted to recommend here, they are Kimi ni Todoke, Ao Haru Ride, and Heroine Shikkaku. But after knowing that Heroine Shikkaku is going to release the live action movie, i chose it.

So, let's straight to the review (not really). Here is the cover of the manga:

And this is the synopsis of Heroine Shikkaku based on MangaFox, the almighty websites for a manga lover like me:

"This could be any girl. Imagine being a heroine of a love story. Hatori also believed that one day she would get married to her childhood friend, Rita.
But that's not how the world works! This is a hilarious comedy that honestly paints a painful unrequited love story of this young girl!
"

This manga contained only 10 volumes, that's why i really enjoyed reading it. Shortly, this is a worthy manga for every girl that craves a light romanticism. Hatori is like any common girl in real world, and Rita is not as perfect as it should be in manga. In my country, Rita is a girl name and i'm still not used to it. I should say that the plot of every chapter is unusual, not too mainstream, and hard to guess. BUT (i'm adding an exception here), the ending is really weird. I thought the author is not properly preparing the ending really well and sooo mainstream.

Oh, yes, my post about the third man is refer to this manga, Hiromitsu-kun. Ugh, i really loved him than Rita, and maybe that's why i'm not satisfied with the ending. The author showed how much he/she loved Hiromitsu character than the actual lead, it is shown from the appearance between Hiromitsu and Rita. It's really perfect when Hatori dated Hiromitsu, how much they loved each other, how Hiromitsu was drawn as a good boyfriend and such a match to Hatori. Suddenly, the author reminded us who the actual lead is, and it's really...

How could i say it?

Big no no. Rita is no better than Hiromitsu, IN EVERY WAY.

Okay. Stop with the unsatisfying thing. I'm really bad at recommending, right?

The amusing part of this manga is how the author created Hatori as hillarious as a girl could. Not a dumb one, but totally funny. She is also drawn in a funny face whenever she did a comical thing. And the other point is, anyone would easily agreed with her. It is like her mind is similar to us, and you will nod to her way of thinking. And i'm satisfied with the drawing. Sooo... hillarious.

I will give this manga 4.3 out of 5. The remained 0.7 points is for the unsatisfying ending, and besides that, it's perfect!

One more. I had told how much i side on Hiromitsu-kun, right? I just watched the trailer of the movie and disappointed on how they choose that cutesy actor rather than a cool and lively look. I didn't give a high hope for the movie after seeing a lot of live action movies (Attack on Titan is the worst of all), but i will watch it after all.

So... Before the movie is released, why don't you try reading it? You've been thinking of being a heroine for your own love life, right? Has it already came true? If not, maybe you should see this story that may be related with your own problem^^

GBye!!!

[Recommendation] 100% PERFECT GIRL That is Just Like FIRST GIRL Doppelganger

I have read FIRST Girl manga long time a go, and it was one of Saito Chiho's masterpiece, at least for me. Actually, she is my first-top list of my favorite author. The reason is, she magically put the erotic scenes in a right time with a right composition. And she is the one that brought me to ecchi manga.

First Girl itself was about a struggle of a man and a woman who both madly in love to be together. It was harder than you could imagine, really. Leon Rosas (omg i remember the names perfectly without checking again) was a business tycoon and Miu was just an average Japanese girl. They married happily at first, but something occured and separated them. Miu then met other men that helped her but also lured by her beauty. Leon Rosas was hardly finding Miu, his bride all over country.

Miu & Leon Rosas in Vol. 1 Cover

This manga stirred up my mind. Oh my God, Miu was a slut, and i'm saying this with a reason. No, a lot of reason. Just take a look at the vol. 2 cover.

There is no Leon Rosas in the cover, and it means the lead man has changed. If you see through another volume, the lead man is always changing, and finally Leon appears in the last volume cover. In every volume, Miu was really having an affair with different men, and it ended up with Leon apologized her. Come on, she is the true portrait of living bitch. I hate her really much and regretting why Leon fell for her. Because of you're separated with your husband, it doesn't mean you're free to sleep with another man, b*tch.

Anyway, Saito Chiho is always my favorite mangaka. Even though i hate Miu so much, but deep in ever woman's heart, who doesn't want to be surrounded by hot-looking men who will love you more than their lives?

Long after reading this manga, recently i found an interesting one again that has similarity with First Girl. It's a manhwa, actually, and titled 100% Perfect Girl.

Let me tell you the synopsis of this one. Jay was a korean art school student who met with Jarte, the King of Roinne by accident. Jarte was immersed with Jay and followed her in silence. After short meetings, Jarte was proposing to Jay and asked her to live in Roinne. Jay didn't accept his proposal at first because she wasn't sure if she loved Jarte. So they engaged first.

Jarte is a man with troubled mind. He had a great fear of losing someone he loves. Because of Jay was the first and the only girl that he loved, he became over-protective to her. Their sweet moments then disappeared suddenly after Jay's missing. She was involved in a mafia's war and lost her memories. Then, she met with Luigi. Luigi was the head of mafia gangsters that Jay saved from a bullet shot. Luigi was fallen for her and hid Jay in his place. Jarte was desperately finding Jay everywhere with all his might. At the end, he found Jay at the bed, naked, with Luigi. The amnesia Jay didn't know who Jarte is, but already in love with Luigi. At the end, after her memories came back, she realized how much she had broken Jarte's heart.

Living as a king of Roinne meant having a lot of enemy. Clarence Ewan was actually his step brother that lived brutally and wanting to avenge Jarte. He used Jay as his bait, but suddenly began to be fond of her. After occurrence by occurrence, Jay was trying to get away from Jarte and ended their engagement to create a new life. But fate had united them together, and finally opened up all of obstacles that they went through.

Okay, i'm sorry if i haven't told that it contains spoiler. But my explanation is not enough to express what happened to Jarte and Jay. You should try reading it. For the first time, i'm startled when looking the comments, saying how much they hated this story but always repeated reading it. I never understood until i happened to read it. I hate this story very much. It makes you happy at first but suddenly the situation went dark. It makes you anxious, waiting for the light will come, but the new problem walk in instead. You will never find any anxious drama more than this. It has a typical korean drama, a tug war of feelings with just 2 persons. It's only about Jarte and Jay, about their feelings to each other, but i don't know why it became so complicated. Even after finish reading it, i have an urge to start reading it again. Maybe that's why the others ended up with repeating the chapter again.

"J is looking for J"

There is a phrase of advertisement that Jarte placed all over Korea to find Jay. It's really sweet, though. He even placed a huge billboard with lights at the top of hills, where he finally found Jay again. I always remembered that phrase, wondering how romantic he did.

Jay is a psycho.

Yes, he even called himself like that. If you read it, you must be agreed with me. But, because of his wit, his looks, his charm, and also his wealth, he is just a guy who was madly in love, so mad in point of able to lock up the girl. I never saw an obsessed man like him before. He is just a monster, a cute and charming monster. He can't let Jay lost from his sight. If i was Jay, i would absolutely escape from him like she did. It is frightening to love with someone like Jarte. If only he was not a king with perfect material, it will become a horror story, right?

100% Perfect Girl

The title is inspired by Haruki Murakami's beautiful short story, "On Seeing The 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning". It is truly a good story, for me. Reading the short story made me begin to understand why can Jarte be madly in love with Jay. 'So there is this kind of impression', i think.

In conclusion, i find them both have similarities with the stories, don't you think? It's about the struggles of uniting a man and woman who loves each other. They also are filled with men's harem who helped and loved the lead woman at once. And both of them have great artworks that matched with my liking.

I recommend both actually. They are good and worth reading. Rate? Here it is (of 5) :

First Girl = 3.7 for Story ; 4.5 for Artwork

100% Perfect Girl = 4.3 for Story ; 3.6 for Artwork

Please read them, okay?

Have a good day everyone!!

[Recommendation] Happy Ending, a Quirky Yaoi Story

***Warning! This post is only about my mind. Don't take it personal or offensive***

You read it right. I just said Yaoi. Yes, and this post will be all about Yaoi.

If you've never known what is Yaoi... Well... I bet that you're not an otaku and not a kind of manga enthusiast, right?

Yaoi is... gay. Yaoi is... homosexual. And Yaoi is about boy's love. Is it clear enough?

Selama petualangan gue yang sangat liar di internet (bukan liar implisit), gue mulai mengenal kehidupan gay waktu SMP. Yes, i know it's a little too early.

I'm not a saint, and i shouldn't be the one that judge them.

I also remembered crying while reading their stories.

Love is blind, right? Maybe love is blind enough to separate the gender.

They spent their whole lives blaming themselves.

Well, satu hal, endingnya agak-agak aneh. Memang masih happy ending seperti judulnya, cuma... hmmm... why won't you just read it by yourself?

No matter what an ending brings it with a new beginning,
A repetition is not just a history,
It is first, a proof of life,

Your happy ending is getting ready to accept a new beginning,
It doesn't matter what you've experienced,

If you're ready,
The beginning will definitely open,

Do not become exhausted,
Then, when you've found the truth,
You will be safe...

KHOOBSURAT

I am not reviewing anything right now.

Recently, i watched a hindi movie called Khoobsurat. FYI, if you're unfamiliar with the movie, Khoobsurat had a collaboration with Disney Pictures. And that's why i was so curious to watch.
When i knew that it was included into Disney movie, the only thing that went into my mind was, "Yes! This is a hindi version of another Disney princess stories". And based on the synopsis, i was right. The story was about a cinderella-like story, with a bit of modern touch (nah, it's hindi btw, so it wasn't just a bit).

Let's just stop with the intermezzo.

I must say... after i watched this... the only thing i knew was...

I just had a fever...

You know...

It's #FAWADFEVER !!!! (lol)

Fawad is the Prince. Please just watch the movie, and i assure you, he is such a hottie. Fawad Khan is a pakistani (yeaaaay) that acted as a prince of India. Well, it's a little bit confusing, why should a pakistani was chosen, but if you looked at him, it wouldn't be a matter anymore.

The story is about a romantic hopeless girl who lived in a palace as a physiotherapist for the disabled king. The girl, Milli Chakravarty is a passionate, free, and bright but clumsy girl, while the prince, Vikram Rathore is an old-fashioned, rigid, and boring man. Milli had a such attitude that really misfit with the royal tradition. As the time passes, they started to have interest with each other, and boom, love happened.

The love story is really cute. They suddenly kissed each other out of the blue. The prince already had a fiancee and they were ready to get married. The conflict is when Milli and Fawad tried to be open about their feelings and started their love line.

There were so many beautiful places showed in the movie. "Khoobsurat" itself means Beauty, and i could see the beauty in every aspect of this movie. I really loved this one, i must say. The portion for everything is perfect, and i highly recommend you to watch it, especially for Disney enthusiast like me.

Well...

Happy Watching^^

[Recommendation] Zekkyou Gakkyuu for Horror Enthusiast !

Hi.

It's been a long time. Seriously, gue sangat sering baca komik. Tetapi entah mengapa buat membahas satu persatu disini... it's hard, really hard.

But I admit it. Dulu gue super penakut. Tapi sekarang... I'm so into horror-thing. Well, for a newbie, it's really hard to find a worth-reading manga. It's bad for your eyes.

Contoh ?

Uzumaki ? Apocalypse no Toride ? Kami-sama no Iutoori ni ?

Shit. Belakangan ini gue tergila-gila dengan Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), seriously, who would not love this one.

I trapped in a high school, with a lot of ugly titans around the place, eagerly haunted me and trying to eat my brain.

Ah, mulai kurang fokus gue sekarang. Anyway,  gue bakal merekomendasikan komik horror yang benar-benar worth-to-read

ZEKKYOU GAKKYUU. Here is the cover:

Yeay ! It's time for screaming lessons !!!

Zekkyou Gakkyuu is the type of "horror story collection" manga. There is always different story each chapter, and that's the good point. I really appreciate the author for making me kind of shock for the ending. He/she surprisingly created a creepy ending for every stories. There is no spooky thing or gory image, I assure you. I even thought that the stories is made for children by giving a lesson for making them a better character. Surely by scaring them.

For example, there was a story about a family. They had an aquarium with a lot of fishes. One day, the kid accidentally killed the fish and just threw the body in a trash. At night, she was haunted by hundreds fishes laying on her bed and strange things happened. She had a vision of her parents turning into fish. Then the next morning she told her parents the truth and buried the fish corpse decently. But the story didn't end just like that. I really didn't understand why, but the family was ended being a real fish and went (or dead) to the ocean. (Too lazy to check my memories, sorry)

Okay, maybe I was wrong, or right. I don't really remember it well. But at least that's the example.

Mungkin cerita horrornya tidak terlalu seram, memang iya, tetapi setelah dipikir-pikir lagi, kalau cerita tersebut nyata, I'll shit on my pants. Bahkan gue nangis, YEAH I CRIED READING HORROR MANGA.

{ Overall Rate: 9 of 10
   Creepy Rate: 7 of 10 }

So...

Please, please read it.

Thank you,

Adios.

[Recommendation] H2O Manhwa, The One That Won't Let You Stop Till The End!

Hi. It's me again.

After a long time, i decided to do this.
Kali ini gue akan merekomendasi salah satu dari my-long-list-comics-that-i've-read. Kenapa akhirnya gue memilih untuk melakukan rekomendasi komik ? Well, it's simply because i love reading comics so much.

I love dreaming and playing with my fantasies.

Gue suka semua genre komik. Mulai dari Romance, School Life, Shoujo dan Shounen, Action, Psychological, Fantasy, Suspense, Thriller, hingga genre yang "nyeleneh" seperti Ecchi (oopsy), Yaoi (but not Yuri, please note that), dan Seinen.

Kenapa ?

This manhwa has a great twist. Cukup susah menyebutkan komik romantis mana yang punya twist plot yang cukup exciting. Apalagi dengan jumlah chapter yang sedikit, seharusnya rekomendasi seperti ini yang bisa membuat para outsider of this manga world jadi tertarik untuk baca, right ?

Mulai dari basic information-nya Nama komik ini adalah H2O. Yes, as simple as that. H2O. Here is the manhwa cover:

Omona uri Taek-Gang <3
